Devon bee keepers Instrumented Hive Project - the IHP

Members, Friends and the FIHP

Interested in the IHP, and wish to get involved?  There are several ways.

You could perhaps become a member of the IHP, taking an active part in supporting our studies. In several key areas we need enthusiastic, skilled members willing to devote considerable time on a regular basis. Join as a Friend first.

Or you could consider just joining the Friends of the IHP (FIHP), helping us raise the funds to support our ongoing studies and to extend their scope. All FIHP members receive a regular e-newsletter and can arrange to visit an IHP apiary to see some of our work first hand. The IHP is run entirely by volunteers, so 100% of income is deployed to progress our studies on honeybees. For more details, or to join up as a Friend, please click here and return the completed form as indicated. For UK taxpayers, please indicate your agreement to have your contribution treated as Gift Aid as this enables us to recover very valuable additional tax revenue from HMRC.  Our UK Reg. Charity no. is 1127888.  We welcome not only Friends who pay on an annual basis (£12 min), but are also grateful to those Friends who contribute regularly to the FIHP scheme through a standing order on their bank accounts.

We are also grateful to enterprises great and small for their financial support, and welcome these Corporate Friends, too.  It is also possible to arrange recognition as named sponsor for specific sponsorship items or studies.

Students, academic entities

We also welcome interest from - or on behalf of - High School students and under-graduates for potential projects in this area.  (There are always several new projects in the wings). Also welcomed are interest from academic institutions interested in collaborative studies.
